1. What to Wear
Players are expected to arrive in appropriate athletic attire suitable for basketball. To ensure our evaluators can easily identify players, we have specific requirements.
Do Wear
- Shorts that do not obscure your lower leg player number
- A basketball singlet or t-shirt that does not obscure your upper arm player number
- Basketball shoes/runners/trainers
Do NOT Wear
- Jewellery
- Open faced footwear
- Clothing with pockets
- Clothing with exposed zips/buckles
2. Player Number Marking
Each player will be assigned a unique number used by coaches for evaluation. These need to be clearly visible on your LEFT & RIGHT upper arm and LEFT & RIGHT lower leg.
**Photos maybe taken at sessions purely for ID purposes
Identify your number
You will find your number prior to tryouts under your age group tab.
Mark you LEFT & RIGHT upper arm and lower leg
Use a black permanent marker. Please make numbers at least 8cm tall
Maintain visibility
Please ensure your clothing is not obscuring the view of your number for the duration of the tryout session
Note: We recommend bringing your own thick black permanent marker. A limited number of markers will be available at the registration desk.
3. What to bring
Tryouts are physically demanding. Players must bring their own hydration. The club will not supply cups or drinks.
Drink Bottle
Make sure your bottle is labelled and full on arrival
Labelled Basketball
Clearly write the player's name on your basketball to avoid losing it. Size 5 - U12s | Size 6 - Boys U14s & Girls U14s+ | Size 7- Boys U16
Light & Dark Option Tops
Bring either a reversible playing singlet or top, or two light dark options
4. Arriving early for good preparation
Punctuality is part of the evaluation. Tryouts run on a strict schedule and late arrivals may not be permitted onto the court.

Arrive at Venue
Aim to be at the venue 20 minutes before your published start time.
T – 15 min
Registration Desk
Check in, have your player number checked. If still needed, apply your player number to arms and legs
T – 10 min
Warm-Up Period
Begin personal or directed stretching and warm-up activities off-court.
T – 0 min
Tryout Begins
Coaches take the floor and drills commence immediately.
Parents & Guardians
During the tryout process please remain seated and observe only. Please do not approach the court or interact with players and coaches during the tryout session. Parents are not required to stay and may drop off and pick up at the cessation of the session
